Installation Day: What Is Included and What Is Quoted Separately
Knowing exactly what the package price covers, and what sits outside it, makes installation day calmer for everyone. Here is the full picture.
A clear picture of the package scope, so the price you agreed is the price you expect
Price questions are often less about the number and more about the edges. What exactly does the package include? What might be added? When will I know? This article answers those questions plainly for our water pump supply and installation packages and for installation only.
The aim is simple: by the time someone arrives at your home or shop, you already know what the visit covers and anything extra has already been discussed.
What every supply and installation package includes
Each package is priced per unit and includes four things:
- The pump. A Tsunami or Grundfos booster pump at the HP you chose.
- Installation. Mounting the pump at the agreed spot and connecting it to the existing water line.
- Basic wiring. Connecting the pump to a suitable nearby power point.
- Pressure and function testing. Running the pump and checking the outlets respond as they should.

What installation only includes
If you already own a pump, installation only is RM800 per unit, installation only. It covers installing your pump, basic wiring, and testing and commissioning. The same separately quoted items below apply.
What is quoted separately
Some homes and premises need more than a straightforward connection. These items are not part of the package price, and they are quoted separately:
Pipe modification
If the pipes need to be rerouted, extended, resized or adapted to connect the pump properly, that work is quoted separately. Photos of the pipes around the planned spot usually show whether this is likely.
Extra wiring
Basic wiring to a suitable nearby power point is included. If the nearest suitable point is far away, or a new point is needed, the extra wiring is quoted separately.
Removing an old pump
If an existing pump has to be disconnected and taken off the wall first, old-pump removal is quoted separately.
Repair
Repair of an existing pump is a separate service, handled by quotation on WhatsApp.
When you find out about extras
Ideally, before the day. That is the reason we ask for photos of the pump area, pipes, tank and power point at the start. If the photos show that pipe modification, extra wiring or old-pump removal will be needed, we raise it on WhatsApp and quote it then, so you can decide calmly.
Occasionally, something is only visible on site, such as a worn pipe joint that only shows once a panel is opened. If that happens, we explain what we found and agree any extra work with you before doing it. Nothing extra goes ahead without your agreement.
How installation day usually runs
- Confirm the spot. A quick check that the agreed location still works.
- Mount and connect. The pump is fixed in place and connected to the water line.
- Wire it. Basic wiring to the agreed power point.
- Test it. The pump is run and outlets are checked for pressure and function. You are welcome to try the taps and shower yourself.
Why the scope is set out this way
Every building is different. Two terrace houses on the same road can have very different pipe runs, power points and tank positions. A fixed package price for the pump, installation, basic wiring and testing keeps the core job predictable, while quoting the variable parts separately means nobody pays for work their home does not need. It also keeps the conversation honest: if your photos show a simple connection, the package price is the whole story.
Questions worth asking before you confirm
- Do my photos show anything that would be quoted separately?
- Is the power point I photographed suitable, or will extra wiring be needed?
- Is there an old pump to remove?
- For shoplots: is any approval from the landlord or management needed?
